We are the West Midlands 40+Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A figure of 8 walk with the first loop taking us through historic Much Wenlock and up to Wenlock edge. We then traverse north along the "Edge" and eventually drop down to the tower of Much Wenlock Windmill, where we will stop for lunch with views across the town. This first loop is 5.61 miles 482ft (147m) ascent. After lunch those not doing the second loop will return to Much Wenlock (they could also eat in town). The second loop takes us north and back again mainly through lambing fields past an abandoned medieval village on some interesting old paths. The second loop is 6.35mile 443ft (135m) ascent to make 12 miles 925ft (282m) in total. Can be muddy in places, bring packed lunch.17-Sept-2023

Start point: Road side parking Station Rd, Much Wenlock TF13 6JD. The road is a loop we park at the old station end nearest the town, just past Linden ave. ///inserted.leathers.soldiers.
