The walk centres around the lovely village of Goodworth Clatford. We will walk both north and south from the village alongside the River Anton. There will be plenty of views of the river and the surrounding fields and downs. The paths on the recce were relatively easy walking, although with mud in places. Any serious rain before the walk will make them harder work of course, and I recommend bringing poles if you use them. There is one stile (no dog passage - so unsuitable), but no inclines, and a few short sections on quiet roads.
We start the walk at 10.30am at the Clatford Arms, but if you are eating there, please arrive by 10.15am so can order your lunch. If you are eating lunch at pub, you can use the car park – we have been asked to use the rear paddock. Otherwise there is some parking along the roads through the village including Church Lane (5 mins walk away).
Please let the leader know, using the email link, if you plan to come.
