Overview

A walk from Thornby in the rolling hills of the north-west of the county through the quaint villages of Winwick and Cold Ashby and parts of the Jurrasic Way. On a clear, sunny day you can see 5 counties from this area.

Undulating countryside, suitable for most people in most weathers. Some stretches of road walking on largely quiet single-width lanes which connect Cold Ashby and Thornby. Some muddy farm tracks and one unploughed muddy field to cross. 4 stiles which are optional! Walking sticks/poles and suitable footwear recommended as can be slippy slidey in places. Drinks/refreshments available at the Red Lion or the World Peace Cafe after the walk.
