Overview

Starting at the Dare Valley Country Park visitor centre, we follow a sealed tramway towards Aberdare Library, before cutting through Aberdare Park and down to the Cynon to start a gentle climb to the Abernant Tramway (unsealed). We stop for morning tea near an old bridge, then head towards Cwmbach following another tramway path.  After lunch, we head through Cwmbach to the Aberdare Canal, before passing Aberdare school and the leisure centre.  We cross Aberdare to make our way back into the Country Park and our start point.
