Circular walk starting at The Pleasance, Aberlady. Parking is on the road at the Pleasance. From the Pleasance we head towards Aberlady Parish Church and past the cemetery towards the bay. After skirting the bay, we head towards the remains of Luffness Friary.
From the Friary we head along Bickerton strip up around Maggie’s wood and through Luffness Mains. We turn back via Drem ride and follow the woods along the edge of Luffness house back into Aberlady.
A fairly easy walk with mostly good paths. Some areas with exposed tree roots may be muddy and slippery if it’s been raining. Walking poles may be helpful.
Meet at MIBC at 9:30 am or meet at the Pleasance, Aberlady 10:15 am.
The Pleasance in Aberlady is just off the A198. We’ll meet just outside the Pleasance play area ( look for the pirate ship).
Phone or text walk leader to join the walk.
