Overview

Brisk walk passing through Holmbury St Mary and into Hurt Wood. Several hills to tackle so poles are recommended. Pretty paths and paths with wide views. Two thirds of the way round, there will be a stop at Peaslake.  Bring refreshments.  At the end of the walk there is the possibility to stop for a drink or lunch at the Abinger Hatch pub.  Booking essential for a lunch stop. Total ascent 680ft.

Abinger Village CP, Abinger Lane, Abinger Common. The entrance to the car park is a little hidden. It is in front of St James Church, opposite Evelyn village hall which is to the left of the Abinger Hatch pub (when facing the pub). If the car park is full then please park carefully on the road opposite the pub.
