Overview

Acres Down is a quiet corner of the New Forest that provides a mixture of open heath land and wooded enclosures plus lots of distant views.  The undulating paths vary from gravel cycle ways to some more typical forest tracks of tree roots and a little mud.  Walking boots are recommended.  Along the way we will visit the Portugese Fireplace and the Canadian Memorial.  There are no styles on this route.  Bring a packed lunch.

Please inform the walk leader if you intend to join this walk.
