Led by Carol, a long standing member of Ramblers, you will walk paths, tracks and fields including a section of the Roman Fosse Way to reach Clandown village and a gentle valley with a babbling brook. Discover the developing town park and ampitheatre and make use of the well surfaced cycle paths laid over the old railway lines of the Somerset and Dorset and the North Somerset railways. Challenge yourself to spot the sites of disused coal pits, now camouflaged into rural surroundings. Whilst much of this walk is on firm ground there is some walking in fields so sturdy footwear is advisable. Please note, the walk of the morning and afternoon are along the same route.
After the walk enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake with fellow walkers.
Toilets available at the hall but not on the route,
