We are the Livingston Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Starting from the Hotel Car Park we walk along the Canal Towpath towards Twechar at which point we join the John Muir Way which takes us up a few small hills: Bar Hill and Croy Hill and a Roman Fortlet. We then walk along part of the Antonine Wall to an impressive Large Roman Head. The walk then takes us back along the Canal Towpath to the Boathouse Hotel where we complete our circular. This walk is great for those interested in Roman History or who like a variety of paths withs views of the local countryside.
Cautions: Mixed paths and terrain some of which are slightly steep and muddy. The path crosses a fairly busy country road, care must be taken.
