Overview

Hello Everyone

Our walk this Easter Sunday includes not one but two Country Parks i.e, Apedale CP and Silverdale CP respectively in the countryside north-west of Stoke, or more specifically Newcastle-under-Lyme. Gravel tracks, field footpaths, a little road walking are all on the menu, as are a few stiles to hop over🐰🐰. Fancy joining us? If so you're most welcome. If you're new to the group we'd appreciate it if you could let us know you'll be coming along so we can look out for you, ta very much.

Registration: 09.45. Walk start: 10.00.   Walk leader: John A (07803 811563).

⚠️British Summer Time begins at 01.00 on Sunday morning when clocks go forward one hour⚠️

Toilets at the start and also about half a mile later too.

Post walk refreshment venue to be confirmed after we've finished.

See y'all there on Sunday morning!

From your home location take the A34 north all the way to Newcastle-under-Lyme where follow the Ring Road clockwise signed A34 Congleton. Continue after the Ring Road for 1.2 miles then branch left into London Road (in front of Starbucks). After 150 yards continue straight over the mini-island and follow for 0.5 mile to then turn left at the larger island into Loomer Road. Follow this road for 1 mile to the car park on the right opposite the slightly elevated car park that serves Apedale Heritage Centre. ⚠️6'6" height restriction on Loomer Road some way before the actual car park is reached.

Alternatively, to avoid Cannock & Stafford, go to Rugeley and take A51 to Stone. Join A34 north to Newcastle-under-Lyme then as above.

Or, if it suits you, take the M6 north to Junction 15, exit slip and go right then after 200 yards turn left onto A519 for Newcastle and follow this for 2 miles to the Ring Road A34, where turn left, signed for Congleton, then as above.
