Overview

A hilly and marshy escapade across the Kent-Sussex border. Beginning in Appledore, we head in a southerly direction and enjoy the gentle hills around Stone and Iden, dropping in on the military canal in between. A lunch break soon after. We then cross the canal to Walland Marsh and snake round to Camber Sands, where we'll have an extended beach break and savour the sea air, now crisper and fresher than in high summer. (Oh and, final dip of the season anyone?) Finish at the pub in Rye.

Please bring a packed lunch.

Travel: Take 8:40 from St Pancras, change at Ashford (arr. 9:18, dep. 9:24), arr. Appledore 9:37.

Buy return to Rye valid on HS1.
