We are Coalville Ramblers - a friendly group based in the heart of the National Forest. We offer a programme of 3 walks each week, from 5 miles to 10 plus.
Join Steve and see the year out with the last scheduled walk for 2024. Starting from the memorial ground in Packington the walk makes it's way through fields, woodland and along lanes until arriving at Hicks Lodge where lunch will be taken. As expected there my be a few muddy sections due to the recent weather. There is around 200 yards of road walking where care will need to be taken. The walk is 8.75 miles.

Packington is a small village on the outskirts of the market town of Ashby de la Zouche. From there walking over open countryside and woodland areas until reaching Hicks Lodge, an outdoor persuits centre where there is cycle hire, cycle off road tracks, lakeside walking and visitor centre with cafe. The walk makes it's way back to Packington where refreshments can be taken at the Bull and Lion. This is classed as a moderate walk.
