A varied walk crossing the flood plain of the River Arun and chalk hills of the South Downs. We pass through old town Arundel, the highlight being the Duke of Norfolk's Castle. Then to Arundel Park descending to the Swanbourne Lake and surrounding woodlands. There is a unusual church at South Stoke and then to the village of Burpham.
The afternoon walk crosses chalk downs to the delightful village of Amberley with a church and castle.
There are some steep ascents and descents. Dress suitably for the time of year.
No exit points. Please bring a packed lunch.

Return from Amberley Railway Station approx. every 30 minutes
