Overview

This walk starts at Ashperton Church and runs alongside the remains of the Hereford and Gloucester canal and past the house where the canal’s engineer Stephen Ballard once lived. Stop for MMR and continue to Gold Hill for lunch and to appreciate the rolling landscape with May Hill and Ridge Hill on the horizon. We continue past Clissett Wood named after Philip Clissett, the furniture maker, past Cannon Frome Court run as a farming community. We take a footpath back to a beautiful section of restored canal before returning to the start. Booking Essential
