The walk will commence at the Clocktower car park in Auchincriuve at 1005am.This a 4 mile circular C walk within the Estate and, involves walking on different terrains,including grass,road and wooded areas.Due to recent weather conditions there are sections which are wet and muddy.Also a few fallen small and large branches to clamber over and a fallen tree to walk around(area around same is narrow).All passable with care.Be mindful of exposed tree roots in wooded areas.
Poles,gaiters and good walking boots advised.
We will take an extended lunch break at the River Bothy tearoom where there are both indoor and covered outdoor seating.
Most direct route to Auchincriuve is to take the A77 down towards Ayr. At the Whitletts roundabout take the first exit onto the B743 signposted for Mauchline and Mossblown and follow the signs for Auchincriuve.On entering the estate take the first left and very shortly another left into the Clocktower and Walkers car park.
Distance from Council car park is 30 mile round trip—9 pound per car.
