NLSH Ramblers is a really friendly group, whose members all share a love of walking and the countryside. You’ll always receive a warm welcome from us, whether you want to walk with us regularly or from time to time.
This walk takes us from Ayot Green via the Ayot Greenway and Stocking Spring Woods to Ayot St Lawrence where we have a short break. From here we turn South mostly following the Hertfordshire way and crossing the river Lea near Wheathampstead. We walk over Devil's Dyke to Coleman Green for lunch. From here it's a pleasant walk through Symondshyde Great Wood and Brocket Park to Ayot Green. Lots of nice woodland, tree lined paths and some fields with open views.

Bring a picnic. Brief pub stop. Optional car share from High Barnet: Victor's Way/Moxon St Car Park, EN5 5TR, leaving 9:20 (14 miles).
Ayot Green. From South, turn left on B197 into Ayot Green (a road) over the A1. Turn 1st left into Brickwall Close and park in layby on left or near The Waggoners pub.
