Overview

Our route goes south through the village of Bainton with its historic church, we then join field paths with great scenic views, eventually reaching the village of Bracken. From here we continue east to "Wedding Wood", to reach the picturesque village of Kilnwick and our picnic lunch stop in the vicinity of the 12th century All Saints Church.  We then continue north across field paths to Burn Butts before turning west to eventually arrive back at Bainton.
