Overview

A short Balcombe circular. Leaving the station car park we'll head over the railway, and then down the valley towards Balcombe Pond. Having taken in the view with a banana break, we'll wander through Walk Wood and back up through Balcombe village.

There will be mud and the path through the woods is gnarly in places. Walking sticks are a good idea.

Parking is free in the station car park at weekends; there is a train which arrives from the Haywards Heath direction at five to the hour.

Please text the leader if you would like to join this walk.

Dogs on leads are welcome but please note there is one, fairly high, stile on the route.

If you would like refreshment, The Half Moon pub is open on Saturday afternoons, but they prefer that muddy boots are left outside.
