We offer walks in London and Home Counties, accessible by public transport.
At a moderate pace with some ups and downs(occasionally steep).We walk beside Ardingley reservoir then uphill to Ardingley Church and on through quiet woods to Wakehurst Place (Kew Gardens in Sussex) the lunch stop.Fields and woods after lunch back to Balcombe.
Entrance to the gardens is free to NT and Kew members or £16.50.
Toilets: No loos at the station but available at lunch.
Lunch: There is a cafe with a very limited menu that doesn't require entrance to the gardens.Greater choice at the cafes in the grounds.Picnic spot outside of the grounds.
Train: London Bridge 9.35,East Croydon 9.49.Brighton Train. Buy return to Balcombe.
