Overview

An 8.5 mile circular walkthrough Balloch Country Park via the walled garden, Balloch Castle, and steadily up into Whinney Hill Woodland onwards to the top of Knockour Hill. The walk is mainly on good paths but can be muddy at times. At the top there is a good view of Loch Lomond and the surrounding hills. our return we take a different path downwards and follow the road along the shore line of Loch Lomond.

Note: For anyone who wishes to use public transport, our meeting point is across the road from Balloch Railway Station.
