We are the Forth Valley Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We board the No. 59 bus at Fir Road, Doune at 9.27 and alight at Straid / Ballochallan. We then make our way back to the start, alongside the River Teith over most of our route. There is a section where the path is narrow with a steep drop to the river. If you are sure footed you will be okay. The walk will be done at a moderate pace. Local grade C+. Please advise the leader by email if you want to attend by 6pm on Friday 15th March.
Use the newly developed car park which is on the main A84 southbound side at the north end of Doune. Alternatively, it is possible to board the No. 59 bus in Stirling.
Please note that there may be livestock in the fields that we cross.
