Overview

The Forest of Dean contains some of our loveliest woodlands but it is surprising how much of what we see is linked to the forest’s industrial heritage. We will be passing the site of a colliery, a disused mineral railway and the ponds that were used to power the ironworks. All hidden by woodland, plantation, wetland, heathland and a beautiful lake.
