Overview

The walk starts from Bempton railway station. We walk down towards the RSPB reserve with an opportunity to see gannets, other sea birds and even possibly a puffin. We then follow the coast north, with some inland stretches , towards Filey with the last few miles along the beach if the tide allows

This is a linear walk starting at Bempton and finishing at Filey. A train leaves Scarborough at 10.13am and leaves Filey at 10.28am and arrives at Bempton at 10.43am. Price of a single ticket is £6 from Filey to Bempton ( if you have a Railcard the price will be discounted ) though the price from Scarborough is currently lower than this , somewhat strangely! Trains back from Filey to Scarborough leave at 15.47 and 17.00, although you can also get the bus. Parking in Filey is free in back streets, but otherwise £6 generally, for 6 hours.
