Ben Rinnes is a Corbett (841m) The dominating summit of Moray and is a very popular hillwalk. The views, as might be expected, are extremely extensive, taking in much of northeast Scotland.
Arrive 09:30am for ‘Meet & greet’ & pre walk safety talk.
This walk is a walk of two halves. 1.15hr walking to the summit, followed by a 3 hr decent.
½ way up drink stop at ‘Roy’s Hill’ (535m) - if hot 2 stops.
Steep climb to summit, drink stop & photos – about 11:15.
Walk along the top ridge to ‘Scurran of Well’ for early lunch (good views).
Start the decent – step in places and boggy.
At Baby’s Hill to bare left from one path to the other.
Drink stop at ‘The James Burn Ford’
Walk ends with a short 5-minute walk along the single track road.
Please Note: The ‘Estimated Finish Time’ shown below is when the walk is due to end, however the walk start time can vary due to road conditions on the day.

Good walking boots are essential, gaiters, waterproof jacket and trousers and poles are advised for the decent. Bring food and drink.
All walkers must carry some form of ICE (In Case of Emergency) identification. This includes your name, mobile number and next of kin contact name and number.
