Overview

We cross the recreation ground to head through the pretty village of Blewbury before taking the footpath to Ashton Tirrold, passing the old Iron Age hillfort at Blewburton Hill on the way. We then make our way to Lowbury Hill via Spring Lane and Chalk Hill Bottom, joining the Ridgeway to reach Starveall and Crows Foot. The return to the car park will be via the Ridgeway, the Gallops, and Churn Hill.

Parts of the Ridgeway have exposed chalk sections, which are very slippery when wet and other sections of the route may be muddy, so please wear appropriate footwear. The majority of the route is also exposed so please dress according to the weather. 

Please bring sufficient drink and food for the day.
