A circular walk with spectacular panoramic views which on a clear day encompasses the Bristol Channel, the Brecon Beacons, Abergavenny and the Black Mountains and the River Usk flood-plain.
Starting from Keeper’s Pond car park we ascend to the Foxhunter Memorial and then on a good track to the Blorenge summit and onto the escarpment. Here we turn south and descend to a track which then follows the lower slopes of the Blorenge to the Punchbowl. This was carved out by glacial action during the last Ice Age, although the lake is much more recent The track continues around the hill and then on the course of “Hill’s Tramroad” before taking an uphill path to meet a level track which takes us back to the car park.no
