Overview

We start by heading west towards Effingham Common via Oaken Wood and enter Effingham through King George's Field. After leaving Effingham we cross Guildford Road to pass through the golf club field and Buckles Plantation. We'll have lunch somewhere around either Long Wood or Dogkennel Green depending on how well everything goes. Afterwards, we arrive at Polesdon Lacey for a toilet break or snack (please note that when I practiced this walk on Sunday, the cafe was closed for maintenance while the coffee shop was still functioning, it might not be ready when we arrive), then we just go back to Bookham station after crossing a field and just go straight for the rest of the walk. Make sure you wrap up warm, bring a packed lunch and a mat to sit on in case of wet, cold or frosty surfaces.
