Linear to Dorking Station.
A lovely, moderately paced 11 mile walk - mostly through National Trust land with some fine views.
Route: On leaving the station we will be following the river path to reach Mickleham Downs, then a steady climb to White Hill, then on to Headley for lunch. (Possible drop-out point buses to Leatherhead or Dorking). After lunch we will cross Headley Heath to reach Box Hill viewpoint before taking the gentle path down to Dorking.
Meet at Box Hill & Westhumble Station at 10:11.
Travel: (train from Waterloo at 09:24 (Dorking (Main) service), calling at Vauxhall at 09:28, Clapham Junction at 09:33 and Wimbledon at 09:40). Check trains the day before.
Ticket/Fare: Buy Off-Peak Return to Dorking.
Finish: Dorking Station.
