via Ampfield Wood, Farley and Bailey's Down. (picnic lunch)
We leave Braishfield and head for Ampfield Wood where a variety of woodland is enjoyed on route to Red Gate. Here a Bridleway is taken along field edges to Lower Slackstead. A quiet country lane rises to Upper Slackstead and Farley Chamberlain church. A track leads into Parnholt Wood where we head back towards Braishfield using further tracks and another quiet access only lane. A short section of the Monarch's Way returns us to Braishfield.
Some lane walking involved, but very quiet. Just two stiles to enjoy. Expect some mud so sturdy boots or wellingtons advised. Bring a picnic lunch and drink. No steep hills just gentle rises which afford some lovely views.
