Overview

We begin by walking through Brayton Barff and enjoying the profusion of bluebells, then cross the busy A63 via a pedestrian bridge and follow the Selby Horseshoe to Burton Bridge and the Selby Canal. From here we follow the canal footpath to Paper House Bridge, then turn north along farm tracks, through a wood to the lovely village of Gateforth. Leaving the village on field paths we pass Lund Farm, then cross a high speed rail track via a pedestrian bridge and eventually return to the start of the walk.
