This walk takes us through Briton Ferry Forest, passing above Baglan, skirting the foothills of Foel Fynyddau.
The walk starts with a gradual climb up to Cefn Cwrt Reservoir and continues on fairly good forest tracks in the main.
There is one fallen tree blocking a path that has yet to be cleared but it can be navigated around with a bit of a clamber. There should be some good views over the Afan Valley when we come out of the forest.
We will return to the car park via the old mineral railway line known as the Incline. There are some muddy sections and loose stones underfoot in others ( hence the grade 3 for a section ) so gaiters and walking poles may be helpful.
