Ian will be leading a circular walk from the Nevill Crest & Gun to Eridge Rocks and continue through Broadwater Warren, walking on wide gravel and hard compacted sandy paths the majority of the walk. Broadwater Warren nature reserve is run by RSPB and is located within the High Weald Area of outstanding natural beauty where restored heathland meets ancient woodland. We will stop for a short break within the main car park, where a leaflet can be collected with a map of all the public footpaths clearly shown for your enjoyment at a later date. We will be returning down the hill via the location of the turret of a Churchill tank left by Canadian troops who trained there before D-Day.
There are no stiles on this walk.
Please bring a drink and a snack to enjoy during the break.
Well-behaved dog on lead will be welcome to walk with the back marker.
