If you do like to be beside the seaside, then you are in for a treat, as we pop over into East Sussex for this 9 mile yomp from Broomhill Sands. Ideal for the winter months it will be pretty much mud free throughout, on the route which starts with us setting off along the seawall, before dropping down to the popular Camber Sands.
We then proceed on the permissive path through Rye Golf Course on the old tramway route, before continuing onward towards Rye abutting the estuary. The return leg uses the designated National Cycle Route which is off road, before we head into Camber to the re-join the seawall to finish.
The going is virtually flat, save for a 30 second scramble up a sand dune, with very easy conditions underfoot, especially across the golf course.
There will be a snack stop en route and dogs are more than welcome to join in the fun.
