Overview

A flat, easy walk affording fine views across the estuary towards North Gower.

Starting at the free car part by the Co-op / Railway Station in Burry Port, the walk will begin by following the old canal path towards Kidwelly before turning off to cross Ashburnham Golf Course.  After a stop for coffee and an opportunity to admire the stunning coastal views from the old castle at Pembrey Harbour, we will retrace our steps briefly before picking up the track through the dunes.  The final part of the walk will be on the glorious stretch of the Wales Coast Path from Pembrey to Burry Port.  Here we will have a stop for lunch and a further opportunity to enjoy the expansive views of the estuary.

Free toilets are located by the side of the railway station in Burry Port.
