We’ll walk along the forestry track passing the Whitehills Stone Circle. We’ll then ascend Greenhill then following the ridge to Cairn William. There are good views across the rolling countryside to the east, the Coreen Hills to the west and Bennachie. Returning via the zig zag path and forestry track to the start.
Walking mostly on Forestry Commission Trails and Forest Paths. Can be muddy in Places. As we descend the zig zag path, right of way should be given to descending mountain bikers.
A Moderate walk for people with country walking experience and a good level of fitness. The walk includes some hills, steep paths, and open country with no paths and may be at a brisk pace.
Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing are essential.
