We will walk through a small woodland and along a number of good paths to Caxton. Hidden behind the hedgerows is all the new build of West Cambourne. Upon reaching Caxton we walk along Ermine Street to the end of the village where we will have a coffee stop. We will then follow Bourn Brook all the way to Caxton End where we will then pick up a bridleway back towards Cambourne and after skirting Whomping Willow lake we again go through a small woodland before ending back at the car park.
Although we walk alongside a number of fields the drainage is quite good so although there will be some mud it should not be too bad. However boots and bottom of trousers will get very wet from the grass. It should be noted the paths used on this walk are different from the recent Cambourne to Bourn Mill/Caxton walk.
