Our walk starts at Broomhead reservoir and climbs steadily up to the Canyards before dropping back down to the reservoir. Weather permitting, there will be stunning views of both the Ewden and Loxley valleys as we walk.
A mix of rough muddy woodland and moorland paths with some short stretches of road walking on quiet lanes. 2 ladder stiles. No toilets en route.
The Canyards are a biological and geographical SSI and the best example of ridge-and-trough terrain - a chaotic mass of parallel limestone ridges separated by marshy ground.
