Cardrona Circular

 We begin at Cardrona village hall, cross Cardrona Golf Course and then a gradual ascent on a woodland path through a hillside hamlet, and leading to a forest track. Shortly afterwards we have a coffee-break before we continue through the forest onto the open hillside and ascend to the highest point, where we stop for lunch and enjoy the view. After lunch we gradually descend all the way down to the perimeter of the forest and past a ruined Tower House overlooking the Tweed before  we arrive back at the woodland path and retrace our steps  down through the hamlet and on to Cardrona.
