The walk takes in a variety of different path types: open fields, fence-bounded paths, woodland and a small amount of lane walking. It begins by heading SE from the centre of Chalfont St Giles, following the line of the A413 towards Chalfont St Peter, before doubling back via fenced-in footpaths up via Oakland Park Golf Course. The route then goes around Three Households before looping around Hodgemoor woods, and finally descending back into Chalfont St Giles.
This is a relatively flat walk on mainly decent footpaths. Some short stretches can get quite muddy, so please do come prepared. Suitable for either wellies or boots.
Lunch will be at the Merlin's Cave on the village green in Chalfont St Giles.
This is a Youngs Pub with a decent selection of lunch-time / main food and drinks. The pub will be made aware that we will be coming (and the approximate time of our arrival), but we will not be placing a pre-order contrary to our normal practice.
