Join us for a beautiful 13 miles linear walk in Milton Keynes. There should be little by way of surface water or mud as you’ll be walking primarily on hard surface paths. This is a version of the first half of the 25 miles Milton Keynes Challenge Walk, so called because it’s supposed to be undertaken in a single day. We’ve split the Challenge Walk into 2 sections: the second section will be offered for walking later in the year during spring.
The route of the first section of the Challenge Walk is Howe Park Wood, Kingsmead Spinney, Tattenhoe Park, Tattenhoe Valley Park, Furzton Lake, Loughton Brook, Teardrop Lakes, Lodge Lake, Bradwell Abbey, North Loughton Valley Park, New Bradwell, Stanton Low Park. We start at the car park serving Howe Park Wood Visitor Centre and end at the Black Horse pub in Great Linford. Taxis will collect us from the Black Horse pub car park and take us back to our start point in Howe Park Wood. There will be a charge of c.£4 per person for the taxi ride.
