Overview

Drive to Fortrose on the Black Isle (1 1/4 hours) to park by the Cathedral ruins (NH 727565).  Walk through Fortrose to Chanonry Point lighthouse.  If there is an incoming tide, we have a good chance to see dolphins feeding.  Walk along the beach (or a higher grass track if it is high tide) to Rosemarkie. From the main road there, we venture up the Fairy Glen.  Return to Fortrose is via the Swallow Den walk.
