Overview

From Chesham via Lowndes Park we have a gentle climb to Chartridge Lane. Then a climb down to Ashridge Road before a gentle ascent to Captain's Wood and on to the lunch stop. The Blue Ball pub will allow us to picnic on the benches across the road. If you want to use the toilet facilities, please purchase a drink. After lunch there are ups and downs through woods and fields to Chartridge village. We walk back to Chesham via Herbert's Hole. This walk offers delightful views of the rolling Chiltern countryside.

Please bring a picnic.
