Overview

Chinley - Cracken Edge - Birch Vale  - Lantern Pike - Little Hayfield - Kinder Reservoir - Bowden Bridge - Pennine Bridal Way - Vorposten - Alder's Farm - Chinley

Mainly on good footpath/tracks with the occasional road sections which have very little traffic on. Includes three sizeable climbs with one fairly late in the day.

Catch 9.14 am Manchester train from Sheffield Railway Station

There is a public car park at Chinley Railway Station for car users or park at any of the stations on the Hope Valley line and pick the train up on route.

Only public toilets on the walk are at Bowden Bridge.
