Easy interesting walk, no hills, firm footing, no stiles. Plenty of variety.
West a short distance to cycleway and using this follow River Avon north to Chippenham town bridge. Conveniences nearby – NB 20p needed. Continue as before but east and south-east through Monkton Park then bearing north-east to disused railway. Follow latter for half-mile south-east. Then farm-track south-west to Harden’s Farm and south to London Road. West for quarter-mile via London Road then south to footpath just north of Pewsham Way and follow west back to car park. One stop: Bring snack.
