Circular walk approx 5 miles with approx 800 ft of ascent/descent. Assistance dogs only.
From the car park the walk will cross the main road and go northwards using field paths (lots of long wet grass!) to Seave Green. Then we will use the minor road east towards Bilsdale Hall and take the bridleway to climb up to Medd Crag. This is a steady climb of about 700ft. From there we walk approx south along the edge of the moor for about a mile and then descend via William Beck Farm.
May be wet and muddy in places.
Some livestock may be in fields crossed at the start of the walk.
There will be a short break at a suitable point in the walk.
Please note that the walk reaches an elevation of about 1200ft so please bring suitable clothing. If the weather is very poor the route might be altered.
Torch or head torch recommended for evening walks in case of poor light.
