Come along and enjoy moderate walking with one long ascent to set you a challenge, see great views over the Menai Strait and breath in lots of refreshing sea air! We will begin the walk from Aber along the Wales Coast Path to Llanfairfechan, calling in at the cafe on the seafront for a quick drink to warm you up. From there we will walk up through the village and onto the North Wales Path, ascending steadily, to join the Roman Road, where you can search for the mysterious incised stones. We will follow the Roman Road and continue down the lane back to our starting point, perhaps calling in at Cafe Hen Felin before heading home.
This moderate grade walk of 9 miles involves a continuous ascent from sea level to 400 metres (1300 feet) on a good path with no steep drops alongside. It may be a good opportunity for you to challenge yourself and test your fitness without committing to a mountain walk.
The walk is not suitable for dogs because there are many grazing animals on the route.
Booking is required as places are limited. Please text me Dave M on 07908 128768 and I will confirm your place.
There is a free car park and a toilet at the start, which is just off the A55 at Aber.
