Overview

Clockwise walk through Dorking town then Rose Hill, after which we head for The Nower with wonderful views to the South Downs.  Lunch at Westcott (pub) and the pretty village green for picnic’ers.  After lunch we head through quaint Westcott Heath and cross the A25 and head for the hills up to the North Downs and the Pilgrims Way using quiet lanes and footpaths as much as possible.  Lovely views over Dorking Town and the spire of St Martin’s Church.  Some steep hills but none that are lengthy.  Very uneven ground for short stretches.  Few stiles.  Opt out at lunch with hourly bus back to Dorking.
