Overview

Initial meet point at Machynlleth Station to get 0852 train to Morfa Mawddach arriving 0950. At 1000 walk starts on Mawddach trail going East & leaving the trail to ascend steeply up past Arthog Falls. As the horizon widens & the gradient eases there will be outstanding views across the Mawddach estuary. Eventually the Ffordd Ddu will be reached followed by a descent back through woodland to the start point. ( there is the option to extend the walk across the scenic Barmouth viaduct to Barmouth.) Return train at 1454 from Barmouth, 1459 from Morfa M.
