Overview

Starting from the National Galleries of Scotland on Princes Street, we'll take in some of the amazing architecture and landscapes Edinburgh has to offer.  The route follows Queen Street, Calton Hill (103m ascent, with an alternative for those who don't wish the climb),  Calton Cemetery, Holyrood Palace, round the lower level of Salisbury Crags, finishing with the Royal Mile and back to Princes Street.

Almost all the walk is on pavement with one section on a rougher track at the Crags.

Lots of eating places to finish off, but please bring something to eat/drink so that if the weather is fair, we can enjoy the outdoors.
