Civil War Trail and River Trent

We shall go through Farndon village and across fields to meet the river Trent and follow the river into Newark , past the marina and through the town locks to Newark Castle. We shall then go round the Civil War trail  in the town before heading to Sconce Park, the Queen's Sconce (a Civil War defence) and the river Devon. Our route back to Farndon is via the banks of the river Trent and past Farndon marina.
